Sofi Aida Sugiharto is one of the Indonesian female pioneers of underwater photographer. Due to her achievements, she was later invited to serve as a judge in underwater photography competition in Indonesia. Beside competing, Sofi frequently speaks at photography and marine life events and mentors younger photographers and local diving guides interested in underwater photography.
Over the years, she have expanded her work into landscape, nature, and drone photography, always guided by curiosity and a desire to explore the unseen. Her experiences, from photographing a blue whale in Sri Lanka to living alongside the Nenets tribe in Siberia, have shaped both her perspective and her approach. Photography, for her, is not only about images, but about connection, patience, and discovery. She hold several prestigious international photography distinctions, including GMPSA (Grand Master from Photographic Society of America) and EFIAP/p (Excellence FIAP Platine form Federation Internationale De L’Art Photographique). She has participated in many international salons and exhibitions and continues to gain recognition for both underwater and travel photography.
